Meet Gabby
Gabby, a special needs teacher from South Jersey, is known for bringing her unique flair into both her classroom and her personal life. When she’s not teaching or spending time with her puppies, Gabby is fully immersed in the world of cars, embracing the car community with her vibrant personality and distinctive Camaro SS build.
Monsters Inc Theme
Her love for all things playful and nostalgic shines through in her car, which features Disney's Monsters, Inc. theme—a decision deeply rooted in childhood memories. The iconic Sulley, the big blue monster from the movie, serves as the centerpiece of her Camaro’s design.
For Gabby, Sulley is more than just a character; he represents the duality of American muscle cars—fierce on the outside but capable of warmth and fun. This creative vision was something she brainstormed with her students, turning the car into a canvas that reflects her inner child and passion for design.
Drive 2 Inspire
Gabby’s journey with this build wasn’t just about personal expression. She saw it as a way to bring positivity to the car community. At car shows, people often approach her to discuss the unusual yet exciting theme. While some question her decision to turn a muscle car into an art piece, most find it refreshing and fun. Gabby’s openness and friendly attitude have made her a beloved figure in the car scene, with people even reaching out after events to thank her for her kindness and inclusivity.
In a male-dominated space, Gabby stands out but never lets any challenges phase her. When asked if her car was a gift from her dad or boyfriend, she laughs and turns it into an opportunity to learn more about the cars around her. For her, the key is kindness, curiosity, and persistence. She encourages other women to follow their passion for cars, no matter what anyone says, and reminds them that confidence in the community takes time, but it’s worth the journey.
Under The Hood
Gabby’s Camaro is far from ordinary. Inspired by the Transformers movie’s Bumblebee, she chose the Camaro as her car because it felt like armor—both powerful and personal. With a range of modifications like a cold air intake, new GWG wheels, a body kit, and an MBRP exhaust, the car is a true reflection of her personality.
But the crowning jewel of her build is the Starliner under the hood, designed by Code Customs. This 2,000-star display, featuring Sulley’s face and a nod to the "Code 2319" scene from the movie, is a showstopper, especially when it lights up at night.
Public Attention
Driving her one-of-a-kind Camaro brings Gabby public attention, whether it’s kids excitedly pointing at her car or people tagging her on Instagram after spotting her on the road. For Gabby, these moments are a reminder that the car scene can be a welcoming, fun space for everyone.
The Pixar Duo
Gabby’s husband, Julian, is also part of this shared passion. Together, they’ve become known as the Pixar Duo. Julian’s Camaro sports a Lightning McQueen theme, making them a dynamic pair at car shows. Their creative synergy doesn’t stop there—they constantly share ideas about their builds, pushing each other to new heights.
Credits/Shoutouts
Beyond her love for cars, Gabby recently launched her own business, Cars on Tap, organizing car meetups at local restaurants. It’s been a successful venture, bringing together car enthusiasts in a positive environment. She’s excited to keep growing the business and spreading her message of inclusivity and fun in the car community.
As Gabby continues to inspire others with her passion for cars, design, and teaching, she stays grounded in the support of her husband, friends, family, and the South Jersey Camaro Car Club, who have been by her side for the past decade. Together, they’re part of a journey fueled by creativity, community, and, most importantly, joy.
